Most auto transport companies give you the option of door to door pickup and drop off or an option to meet the driver at a central terminal. Obviously, it is much more convenient to have you car picked up and dropped off at your door stop. However, there are a few instances where this is not possible. One scenario where door to door service would not be possible would be when the location of is in a private or gated community. These communities usually do not allow commercial vehicles to enter. Therefore you will need to specify ahead of time a mutually convenient place for the drop off or pickup. Meeting at a nearby shopping center with a large parking lot is usually a good choice. The other instance when door to door pickup would be very difficult if not impossible would be if the location for pickup and or drop off is at a very hard to get to location. If you need to go along very windy roads or an unpaved road, getting there will be very difficult for the vehicle transporter. Arrange ahead of time for a more central place to meet to avoid having to pay extra charge for the difficulties uncured by trying to get to your destination. In all other instances, I would recommend taking full advantage of the door to door pickup an drop off.
